5S Workplace Organization

A well-organized workplace improves safety, efficiency, and consistency across operations. This interactive session introduces the 5S methodology — Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain as a practical foundation for continuous improvement in manufacturing environments.

Participants will learn how to identify waste caused by disorganization, establish visual workplace standards, and maintain improvements over time. The session focuses on realistic application in production and support areas, helping teams create workspaces that are easier to manage, safer to operate, and more efficient to maintain.

By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:

  • Explain the purpose and principles of the 5S system
  • Identify opportunities to improve workplace organization
  • Apply visual management techniques to support standard work
  • Support team-based continuous improvement efforts
  • Sustain workplace organization through simple accountability practices

Who should attend:
Production supervisors, team leads, CI/Lean practitioners, maintenance personnel, engineers, and anyone responsible for workplace organization or operational efficiency.
