Equally impactful was their focus on associate engagement, using “Real Voice” feedback to drive sustainable, people-centered improvements.

The Grease Lightning Girls from JTEKT Vonore, Tennessee—Tori, Taylor, and Gracie—brought energy and innovation to the 2026 Lean Network Conference, showcasing a real-world improvement to a grease-related issue on their production line.
Using Lean tools like 5S and waste reduction, the team demonstrated how small changes can drive meaningful improvements in safety, efficiency, and morale.
While public speaking pushed them outside their comfort zone, the experience proved to be incredibly rewarding. Their advice to others: “Don’t be afraid to step outside your comfort zone—growth happens beyond the fear.”
