Become an Instructor with Supplier Support
Honda Supplier Support is expanding our instructor pool to support supplier training needs across North America. We are looking for experienced professionals who can bring practical knowledge, strong facilitation skills, and real-world supplier experience to our training offerings.
Instructor opportunities may vary based on training demand, topic expertise, location, availability, and onboarding requirements.
Who We're Looking For
We are especially interested in individuals who may be:
- Approaching retirement
- Recently retired
- Semi-retired
- Available for occasional contract-based instruction
- Recommended by their organization
- Experienced working with Honda suppliers
- Comfortable sharing knowledge in a professional training environment
Current full-time Honda or supplier employment may limit availability, so flexible scheduling is highly preferred.
What Makes a Strong Candidate
Strong candidates may have:
- Experience working with Honda, Honda suppliers, or manufacturing environments
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Comfort facilitating adult learning
- Flexible availability for virtual and/or in-person sessions
- Subject matter expertise in leadership, quality, HR, associate relations, manufacturing, or continuous improvement
- Willingness to complete onboarding requirements
- Ability to deliver a short teaching-style demonstration
- Professionalism, dependability, and a supplier-focused mindset
No single instructor is expected to meet every need. Our goal is to build a flexible, diverse instructor bench with a variety of backgrounds, specialties, and regional availability.
Types of Instructor Opportunities
Instructor opportunities may include:
- Virtual half-day training sessions
- In-person supplier training classes
- Regional or topic-specific support
- Meeting and event workshops
- Pilot programs or emerging topic sessions
- Occasional subject matter expert contributions
Opportunities are based on program needs and may vary throughout the year.
Onboarding Expectations
Potential onboarding may include:
- Review of experience and topic fit
- Introductory conversation with Honda Supplier Support
- Completion of required contractor onboarding through designated staffing partners, if selected
- Review of training materials and delivery expectations
- Brief teaching-style demonstration
- Shadowing or co-facilitation, when appropriate
- Program-specific preparation before independent delivery
Regional & Availability Needs
We are especially interested in expanding instructor availability in the Central U.S. and Southern U.S. regions, as well as identifying instructors who are comfortable supporting virtual sessions across North America.
